PRODUCT REVIEWS
Journal Entry #85

The Golf Guy, John Darling, has attended numerous PGA Expos in Las Vegas and Orlando to learn what is new in the golf industry that might be of interest to visitors to the Senior Friendly Golf web site. (To go direct to PRODUCT REVIEWS)

John has conversed with representatives, presidents and CEOs of hundreds of companies exhibiting at golf merchandise shows. One thing he says comes through clearly; the inventors and developers of these products and services are strongly, if not extremely, committed. Everyone of them believes that their offering is unique and beneficial. They have made huge financial decisions to bring their ideas to fruition and make them available.

These companies are anxious to help nonprofits, charities and companies holding golf tournaments be successful by using what they offer. Most are willing to pass along savings to enhance any and all golf and fund raising events. Just be sure that whomever places an order mentions referral from Senior Friendly Golf. Sourcing can be through golf pro shops, specialty product companies and in some instances direct from the company. A complete list of sources and products are listed in THE COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL FUND RAISING GOLF TOURNAMENT book available on line from Amazon.com and Barns and Noble. The most complete and up to date information is on the CD-ROM of THE GUIDE available only from GolfGuy@SeniorFriendlyGolf.com.

John has personally reviewed many of these products and services presented. What he has discovered is that it takes more than a look-see to evaluate. To review and evaluate an item, the item needs to be used numerous times to understand and become comfortable with its purpose or advantage. "New" often means changing one's routine or habit. Keep this in mind.

As you access the links to follow, you may also go directly to their web sites for more information.

One last thought. At the time of this journal entry golf rounds are holding steady nationally, but our economy is suffering. While we have visited most websites, some of the companies presented may have gone out of or suspended business. In those cases please advise us at GolfGuy@SeniorFriendlyGolf.com.
